About the Author: Chris Cowlin: Chris Cowlin has compiled many quiz books and has raised thousands of pounds for various charities with the sales of his books. He has compiled books on football (various clubs), cricket, the Carry On films and television.
Kevin Snelgrove: Kevin Snelgrove was born in 1960 in Frome, a small town in the countryside of East Somerset. Kevin's first published book was 'The Official Carry On Facts, Figures & Statistics', he then went on to compile many football quiz books.

My 15 years as a player with Bristol Rovers took me from 1965 through to 1980. My first eighteen months was as a part-time professional as I was still an apprentice plumber, then aged 20 I signed as a full-time professional.
At the time of signing Mr Bert Tann was the manager and was shortly followed by Mr Fred Ford.
Larry Lloyd and Ray Grayson were just two of the many up and coming good, young players. There were also some legends at Bristol Rovers, who were coming to the end of their careers, namely Alfie Biggs, Ray Mabbutt and Doug Hillard, to name but a few.
During my early years at the club my greatest influence came from Bobby Campbell and Bill Dodgin, we were a very young side but worked hard at our game.
At the ripe old age of 33, I was disappointed to have to leave Bristol Rovers. I spent many happy years playing with some very good players which were also friends. I was very fortunate to have avoided any minor injuries through my career.
I am very honoured to have been asked to write the foreword to Chris’s and Kevin’s book, they have put a lot of hard work into it to put all the questions and answers together. It recalled some wonderful memories for me and I am sure all Pirates from the past to the present day will have fun with this book. A great test for all fans and fun for all the family. Enjoy!

BRISTOL ROVERS FAN LAUNCHES OFFICIAL QUIZ BOOK
Bristol Rovers' fan Kevin Snelgrove discovered it was a gas to compile a quiz book about the club.
Kevin, 49, took six months with co-author Chris Cowlin to produce the book which contains hundreds of questions to test the loyalist of fans.
Kevin, who lives in Frome, said he enjoyed researching the questions.
He said: "To find the questions, we used programmes, the internet and various books already on the market about Bristol Rovers' history.
"It's often hard work, but I always find it fascinating, especially when I have to delve a bit deeper to make sure we have the correct information.
"Sometimes, the same fact, on appearances for example, can have conflicting information in two different places, so we really do have to make sure the information we publish in the book is correct.
"Each clubs' own historian goes through it at the end to make sure it's all 100 per cent correct."
Kevin signed copies of The Official Bristol Rovers' Quiz Book at Waterstones in Cribbs Causeway.
It includes a foreward by former Rovers' manager Ian Holloway and Stuart Taylor who spent his entire career with Rovers and holds the record for the most league appearances for the club – 546.
Kevin started writing football quiz books after producing his first one on the popular Carry On films.
He was teamed up by publishers with Essex-based Mr Cowlin, an expert on writing quiz books.
Post columnist and TV presenter Jed Pitman said the book was "a great book to test your knowledge on all things related to the Gas".
The Official Bristol Rovers Quiz Book is published by Apex Publishing and costs £8.99.
