Ifil currently plays for local team Colchester United. Phil Ifil is a full-back, making his professional debut for Tottenham Hotspur against Liverpool on the first day of the 2004/2005 season, he made three appearances in the Premier League for the London club. He represented England U20 at 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship. In September 2007 he joined English Championship side Southampton on a three-month loan deal. In January 2008 he was transferred from Tottenham Hotspur to Colchester United for an undisclosed six figure fee. * Apex have been shirt sponsors for various Colchester United players since 2002 and have sponsored players including Gavin Johnson, Jamie Cade, Greg Halford, Liam Chivers and Pat Baldwin.
