So here is your first question.
Name the happiest ten years in the life of Graham Taylor former manager of Watford Football Club?
Anyone who got that wrong surely cannot be a true Hornets supporter.
1977 to 1987 is ofcourse the correct answer.
I know I do not have to write this, but even all these years on I still get a wonderful warm feeling when I reel these facts off.
1977/78 - Fourth Division Champions
1978/79 - Promotion from the Third Division
1981/82 - Promotion from the Second Division
1982/83 - Runners-up in the First Division
1983/84 - UEFA Cup participation and FA Cup Finalists Add to that both a Football League Cup and an FA Cup semi-final appearance and a lowest position ever of 12th in the First Division. Some story eh!
But for me the biggest achievement was what the club stood for off the pitch. A family, community orientated club that in difficult "hooligan"
football times gave a lead as to how clubs could operate. The first all seated family enclosure. The first standing family enclosure. The first club to have written into their players contracts a clause to commit themselves to so many hours work and appearances in and with the community of Watford and the surrounding areas. This club belonged to the town of Watford. It was special and so it will remain special to me until my dying day. Thanks to you all.
For every sale of each copy of this book £1 will be donated to the charity SENSE which supports and aids people who are both deaf and blind. Try to imagine that Thankyou for your contribution.
I hope you enjoy the 1,000 questions in this book that Chris has compiled, I thought I knew a lot about Watford Football Club but I was still stuck on a few, the questions cover everything - great matches, players, transfers, top goalscorers, managers, positions in the League and much much more - this book is guaranteed to provide hours of enjoyment for any Watford fan.

I am thrilled that one pound from every sale of this book will be donated to Sense - the national deafblind charity. Without help like this we would be unable to carry out our vital work of helping children who are deaf and blind have full and happy lives. On their behalf, a big thank you.
